first, send an inquiry --
to begin the floral preservation process, please send me an inquiry to check if your date is available. i take a limited number of floral clients each month, so the sooner you're able to inquire and reserve your date, the better!
my books are open for the current calendar year. i do not book more than 1 year in advance, but aside from that you may book up until the day of your event! that's right; if i am available and able to take your order at that time, you may inquire and potentially book services as late as the same day.*
once we've determined if your date is available, I will send you a contract to sign as well as an invoice for a non-refundable $75 deposit.
your date is officially confirmed only after you've returned your signed contract and paid your $75 reservation deposit.
deposits will be applied to your final order.
time to shop!
anytime before your event, please shop my resin items and determine which items you'd like to receive in your final order.
depending on how far in advance you've booked, a second invoice may be required. 50% of your total order will be due at drop-off/at the time floral preservation begins. This can easily be combined with your initial $75 deposit if you already know which items you'd like at the time of booking.
your final invoice with remaining balance will be sent when i begin creating your items (approx. 3 weeks after drop-off).
you may add-on additional items up until this point, as long as it's determined that enough florals have been preserved.
payment must be made in full before receiving your final items/prior to being shipped (when applicable)
how far in advance do i need to book?
the sooner the better! in order to begin preservation in the most effective and timely manner, I request floral drop-off within 3 days of your event.
the more time that passes, the more delicate and unworkable the florals may become. if you are not able to drop off within 1 week of your event, your order will be cancelled and $75 deposit lost.
how soon after my event do you need my florals?
* additional/rush fees may apply to orders that are not booked a minimum of 30 days in advance. any added fees will be discussed prior to invoicing or booking services.
average turnaround time is about 8-10 weeks.
typical projects are completed within 6 weeks of receiving final payment, but times vary based on order size as well as the time of year.
what is the turnaround time?
the best way to care for a bouquet before you bring it to me is by cutting the stems (about an inch off the end is usually enough!) and placing in fresh water. if you are preserving a centerpiece or any of your florals are in floral foam, be sure to keep the stems damp/in water until you drop off. this might require checking and re-wetting the sponge a couple of times.
please do not place any florals in the fridge or freezer as this can cause unnecessary damage to the petals or even to develop mold, in which case your florals might become unusable.
do not wrap or unwrap your bouquet. i will disassemble during the pressing process.
How do i care for my flowers before i drop them off?
no, not all of your florals will be pressed and not all that are pressed will be used. I'll go through and use the prettiest/healthiest blooms that will make your final piece look best.
will all of my flowers be pressed?
it's natural for some of your flowers to be damaged or become unusable throughout various stages in the process. not all flowers keep the same or endure the same wear and tear.
typically, there aren't many flowers left over by the end of the process.
what happens to unused flowers?
resin is a pretty durable product, however, doesn't mean it's immune to damage or scratching. please handle all pieces with care; they are one of a kind fine art pieces and should be treated as such.
I recommend keeping out of direct sunlight and using a lint-free cloth when wiping down. please do not use chemical cleaners on your piece and avoid exposure to either very high or very low temperatures.
How do i care for my new resin piece?
The resin i use to preserve florals is clear, high quality and vOC free! over time, it is natural for resin to begin to yellow and turn into a light amber color. this is part of the natural aging process of the material.
it is also natural for flowers to fade and change color very slightly and slowly over time. the best way to slow this is by keeping out of direct sunlight.
will my piece change over time?
yes!
I would love to re-create a special bouquet or arrangement with you if you did not save your piece or if your date has passed!
please send me a custom inquiry below and indicate a recreation request. i am happy to work with you on individualized pricing and estimates. timeline for these pieces may vary from typical production times and pricing will vary a bit, as well.
final pricing will include the cost of fresh florals and do vary a bit based on availability and time of year. Including a photo of your original piece is helpful in your request, so I can have a better idea of if I am able to recreate and any special or unique elements to your design.
